The Dukedog No. 9017 awaits to depart Carrog Station on the Llangollen Railway, Wales.
I loved the way the ambient light of signal box lit the loco and steam and the light of the carriages behind and the station lamps filled the centre, joining the reflected light and the source. I also loved the way the steam caught the light, steam railways at night are magical, there is no other word for it.
Taken at night, Saturday 18th, during the 'Steel, Steam & Stars II' gala.
